At Xtreme Elements the Safety and Health of our employees as well as other trades on our jobsites are top priority to us.
On February 14th and 15th this year we held our annual Safety and Knowledge Training Seminar. Every year Xtreme Elements will shut down all our jobsites for 2 or 3 days to refresh our employees on the importance of Safety. On 2-14-24 our training consisted mostly of Adult and Infant CPR/First Aid and AED Training. This training was provided to us by a company we have grown to love, 1st Choice CPR Company out of North Canton, Ohio. Year after year Lori Covington and her group of spectacular team members do an outstanding job getting our 50 plus employees all certified and ready to handle any emergency that may come their way on the jobsite. Other safety training discussed was our Drug Free Safety Program Training provided by our Safety Director Terry White and Working around Heavy Equipment Safety provided by Xtreme Elements most Veteran Team Member, Operator Steve Lowden.
Xtreme Elements second most important thing on our jobsites is providing our customers with a quality product, within schedule, that will last them for years. To do this job after job we must keep up on all of the new products and ways that develop over the years that help installing these products correctly and efficiently. The second day of our training was the knowledge portion. For this we brought in experts at the top of their fields to discuss best work practices and new and up and coming products.
The guest speakers for the In-Depth Product Knowledge portion of the training were:
Mark Pardi, P.E., Ohio Concrete Association
Hal Lane – Medina Supply
Kevin Kasner and Chris Hawkins – The Chas E Phipps Company
Gene Shevchenko – Master Builders.
This panel of experts generated great back and forth conversation with our knowledge hungry employees. Xtreme Elements would like to thank everyone involved that made our annual training days a success. A big shout out goes to the Akron Hilton Garden Inn for providing excellent accommodations and a breakfast and lunch each day!
We look forward to another round of Safety Training and Product Knowledge next year!
